The Dearest Place on Earth…

Today was my FIRST Sunday back at Metro Life after three months of bedrest and a few weeks of recoup after having Thomas. As we were driving up, I was getting so excited and walking into the doors of the church building, I was almost giddy! I honestly didn’t realize how much I missed the fellowship, corporate worship, hearing the Word of God being preached (Mike Nash did an AMAZING job this morning!) and just seeing everyone’s smiling faces. I was inundated with SO MANY folks saying how excited they were to here that Thomas was doing well and that they’d been praying for us for the last few months… I can’t believe that so many people so unselfishly prayed for us consistently while I was on bedrest and then when Thomas was struggling in the NICU. I was (still am!) overwhelmed, encouraged, grateful and feel like I want to cry, but in a really good way :)

How can we thank you all for the ways you have served us? For cooking, cleaning, caring for me and Sophie when I couldn’t; for praying each day and lifting up our little unborn baby to the Lord; for praying and encouraging us to trust our Father while Thomas was in the hospital and now for rejoicing with us in God’s goodness… Thank you for carrying us in prayer and for displaying a beautiful picture of the body of Christ living and serving together as God commands us to do in His Word.

I’m so happy that we get to live life with you all and with God’s help, raise our children up to emulate the example you all have so clearly set for us!
